Tutoring

KS Learning Strategies offers top notch, individualized tutoring to students from grades K-12.  As a 9 year veteran of utilizing Lindamood Bell strategies, Kellie specializes in providing multi-sensory intervention to students who are struggling with reading.  Kellie also loves to support students with elementary & middle school school math, writing projects, and social/emotional learning.  Kellie also works with clients on short term projects like the I-Search research project or passing the California driving test.

Coaching Parents Through the Special Education/504 Process

Schools and special ed departments are currently overrun and overwhelmed.  How can you best work with these bureaucracies to get your needs met?  Kellie collaborates with families to develop effective strategies to be more successful in the special education/504 process.  Kellie's goals are to build the independence and self advocacy skills of parents and families so they can optimize their success.

Kellie knows the expectations each step of the IEP/504 process and can offer salient guidance about what to do.  She can also target strategic areas embedded in the IEP (individualized education plan) in order to maximize support for her students.  She has knowledge, experience and expertise to recommend what kinds of services, classroom accommodations and goals would best benefit your child.
